Dreamy day with my girls!

Well, today I basically lived a dream I have been having. To spend the day at home making anything and everything with just my girls.

Today we stayed in our sweats, other than our trip to the farmers market, and made all kinds of things together. We started with juicing some oranges and getting a loaf of sourdough started. Then we made sauerkraut, tomato soup for lunch, corn bread and chili for dinner, and prepped the sweat rolls for tomorrow morning breakfast. We had planned to make muffins, marshmallows and gummies but everything takes longer with kids, so we didn’t get to those. Maybe tomorrow!

Being in the kitchen with my girls hasn’t always been something I desired or dream of, because cooking with kid is freaking hard! But over the last couple of years I have learned a lot of patience, and I mean a lot, so I could enjoy time with my girls in the kitchen. I am an enneagram one, and if you know anything about that enneagram type you know how hard it can be to let the messes happen and have everything done a different way than you think it should be. I have seriously come a long way with this, and I am so happy I have.

I basically started working thirty hours a week, from home, almost a year ago now, so finding time in the kitchen is really hard. But after making some big changes to my nutrition at the beginning of last year, and seeing some huge changes in my Hashimoto’s and overall health, I have made food a big priority. It has really transformed my live in so many ways.

Now I want to be in the kitchen and cook meals, and I really feel it’s important to do that with my girls right by my side!

If you have a dream day in mind, I encourage you to make it happen! Maybe you say no to one thing or another to make it happen. Make it happen and fill you cup!

xo, Ashley
